The Nu Rho Foundation, Inc. (NRFI) is a 501(c)(3) public nonprofit organization (EIN 85-0467800), based in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Established around the year 2000, NRFI is dedicated to empowering youth, strengthening communities, and advancing educational opportunities in the Greater Albuquerque and surrounding regions.

Geographic Reach
NRFI serves graduating high school seniors in the following North Central New Mexico counties:
- Bernalillo
- Sandoval
- Santa Fe
- Valencia
Scholarships aim to assist students in a range of post-secondary academic and vocational pursuits.
Scholarship Programs
1. General Academic & Vocational Scholarships
Financial support provided to high school seniors across Bernalillo, Sandoval, Santa Fe, and Valencia counties to support post-secondary education and vocational training.
2. Omega Psi Phi National High School Essay Contest
NRFI awards local scholarships to high school students who participate in this annual contest, supplementing opportunities for district-level and national scholarships awarded by Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc.
3. STEM Drone Competition
Participants in NRFI’s annual STEM Drone Competition (middle and senior high school students) are eligible for scholarships recognizing achievement in STEM.
4. Talent Hunt Competition
High school students who compete in NRFI’s Talent Hunt event may win local scholarships and advance to District and National levels, where further scholarship opportunities are available through the fraternity.
Signature Fundraiser: Tommie Jewell Sr. Golf Classic
The Tommie Jewell Sr. Golf Classic is NRFI’s flagship annual fundraising event. All proceeds fuel the Foundation’s scholarship programs and outreach efforts—the event’s largest annual funding source.
